I'm fairly familliar with the technical differences between the metering types (Spot, Evaluative, etc) for the 30D, but I'm curious what people use the different types for. I know why I would use the two different ones, and I'd like to see if other people are on the same page as I am, or if I'm looking at things the wrong way.

I use spot when there's a specific area in the composition that I want to take a reading off of. Most of the time I use evaluative. I never use center weighted.
