These are three new additions to my portfolio from close-up textured images of my tropical "Triangle Palm".....

Shez,

I like the idea of the closeup on the textures. It's interesting what you find when you get that close. They seem somewhat oversharpened though.

Definately not "oversharpened" as this is the real "velvet" textures on the trunks of the younger Triangle Palms in our garden.I have two growing in the back garden, and are about twelve to fifteen feet high.....The trunks are cobered in the velvet texture. They were also taken at night, and nearly entered them into the "nightime" challenge.....

Not trying to pick, but something just feels a bit harsh about the images. Maybe it was the lighting (flash?). Soft lighting may be perfect for these plants.
