I'm looking for a flash for my Olympus evolt 500 but I need something I can afford. I have been asked to shoot a 20th wedding anniversary party and all I have is the flash on the camera. Please, advise here...do I have to buy an olympus flash or some compatible? Where can I look to find what is compatible?
I'm so freaking out....I'm so nervous!!!

My dad has a Promaster brand flash that he uses with his Oly 8080, It was less than half the price of the Olympus flash and works very well. Just Google "Promaster Flash" and find a dealer.
MattO was selling an FL-36 flash a few days ago, I don't know if he got a buyer or not, but it's worth PM'ing him to check.

The promaster does make a model that fits the E-series, however they need one of the new modules afaik. And I'm not sure which ones they are. I do have one for sale, but I think I have a buyer already. The Fl36 would work great for wedding photography, I'll contact the buyer and let you know for sure if its sold or not.
