TRAINS: PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE PHOTO CONTEST. The St. Louis Artist’s Guild is offering this national, slide juried, all media exhibit featuring trains and related subjects. The deadline is June 20, 2006. The entry fee is $35 for non-members, up to 3 entries. The members entry fee is $7. The exhibit will be held August 20 to October 14, 2006. LUMINESCENCE VII. The Cookeville Camera Club is proud to sponsor this photography contest and exhibit. The categories are: nature and wildlife, photojournalism, and abstract. You may enter four prints, no more than two per category. The print size is 5x7” with a matte size of 11x14”. The entry fee is $7 per print or $25 for four prints. CDS AT DUKE UNIVERSITY HONICKMAN FIRST BOOK PRIZE IN PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION. The Center For Documentary Studies at Duke University has announced that Robert Frank will judge the 2006 CDS/Honickman First Book Prize in Photography competition. The contest is open to American photographers who have not published a book of their work. Winners will have a book of their images published, receive a grant for $3000 and be included in a traveling exhibit. The deadline is June 10 to September 12, 2006.
