I usually dont put stuff in photoshop, i just do all my editing in Iphoto. Is there anyway to put in watermarks without going through photoshop. |

I use Photoshop and its very easy and you can make it an action and batch it where you can do every picture in an assigned folder.
Do you have PS?

Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to do it? I have CS, but don't know how watermarks are done. |

If you have made one, would you mind sharing it with the rest of us, too?
Pretty pretty please :-) |

I can tell you very easily. Type your watermark text, place it wherever you want it, and lower the opacity. ;) |

Embedding a water mark in PS/CS
Step 1
Load the picture you want to add a the watermark.
Step 2
Click on the "Create a New Layer" under the layers palette at the bottom. Circled in black in example photo.
Step 3
Now you should see a blank layer above your background layer. Make sure it is active (highlighted in blue). Also make sure your foreground color is set to black and your background color set to white.
Step 4
In step four click on the line tool and scroll down to select the custom shape tool. Once you have done that you will see three boxes at the top of your Photoshop menu bar; click on the third one that says "Fill pixels".
Step 5
Click on the custom shapes tab and scroll down to the copyright symbol and click it.
Step 6
Place the copyright symbol where you want it on the picture then click the text box and add your text. Then place the text where you want it. Now you should have three layers in your layer palette.
Once you have the copyright symbol and text where you want them we need to merge just these two layers. You do that by pressing control+E on the PC or command+E on the mac. Now you will only see two layers in the layers palette (Background and layers).
Step 7
Now under the layers palette click "Add a layer style" and then click on "blend options". It will bring up a blend options box. Make sure the have bevel and emboss check and click OK.
Now you have your copyright symbol and text but it's black. We need to make it a watermark. We do this while you have layer 1 active and go to the blending mode and select lighten. Now you have a see though watermark. Adjust the occupancy to your liking and you are done. I usually use 30 to 40% occupancy so the picture is still visible under the water mark as seen below.

Wow! too easy.
I think you can get the copywrite symbol with Alt-g on mac. Don't know on PC. (I only use it at work.) |

I was wondering, how do you apply an action to a batch of images? |
