Anyone know of any good books on modeling from a model's stand point. Or perhaps some links.

well a real model doing any pose imaginable is probably better than cutting one out of posterboard as i did here. just be thankful you have a model. j/k
seriously though here are a few possibilities:
amazon model books
whoops sorry i was a little late with the amazon suggestion.

LOL, JP, you do realized that you can buy lifesized, realistic posable models don't you?
Warning Adult Related Material
Edit: You might have to try to find a way to keep from getting "too much Neat Image" comments. Maybe add some noise... LOL

Damn!!! I knew this "Internet Thing" was going to be good for *something*!!
These are a lot more life-like than what I came up with, but they're a little beyond my price point. |

I'll make you one out of posterboard for 50.00. for 200.00 you can have some backups or reinforced orifices. i dont know how the posterboard holes will hold up under use. Havent tested it, don't really plan to. ROFL! oh boy. i'm craking myself up here. i might spew soda out of my nose. ;) |

Sure they are. They are a major step up from the woodies and they give you a woody too.

You do realise that they are not able to stand and support their own weight? So there are limits on how fully posable they are, without some sort of external support... so you could use them for home/lifestyle/boudoir/bondage and limited fashion shots, but they'd be useless for most fashion, environmental portrait or street photography scenes.
A couple of my female friends told me about these a few years ago. They found the whole idea grossly offensive to women, particularly becuase after you've used it for whatever you've used it for, you can put it back in its (locker-style) cupboard until next time you need it.
