Should I just use the original version with ONE leg? I just did this for fun but does it really add action to the shot...is it believeable photographically? I shouldn't have to post the original, just think of the image as a normal shot with the leg straight up.

You guys tell me...I've seen this technique before but I don't know if I did it right so please tell me if I did it right when you leave your comment.

Looks real enough to me. I dated a four legged chick once. ...but she was no black belt.

Yep.

Add more faded legs and she would look like Trinity from the Matrix ;)

would you prefer it over the original one-legged version?

OMG - I didn't realize you were the Ken I had dated before!! I had two legs removed since then.

My opinion is that it looks less realisitic than it should, and maybe lightening the two legs more would be good.

In that case, I demand a rematch! Sure, it was easy to kick my ass with four legs...

Yeah! Lightning! Photoshop lightning on the legs. Good stuff.

Four legs good, two legs bad.

She probably needs to be kicking the $h!t out of a giant moth also.

K...thanks for everything.

I've gotta adjust the bg of the shot so it all matches...I hate crappy lighting kits...makes for more PP.

of the 3 legs, the one on the top-most is the sharpest (most in focus), making it appears that she is kicking upwards. But the way her hair stood, it seems more likely she was kicking down with the heels. If you could use motion-blur filter (or something similar) to blur out the top-most and middle legs, then it would appear more natural.
Just my 0.02 cents :)

i used the motion blur filter on the two legs...the kick goes up and then comes straight down...i caught the kick at the very top.

I'm her instructor also, so I've pretty much got the motion down.

I would make the lowest leg almost transparent, and then the middle somewhat transparent to give more of a it's been there and gone effect.
