Brazil? They will lose to the US in the second round!
In all honesty, Brazil is the favorite and there are probably 5-6 other teams who could easily walk off the pitch holding the cup.
it's really the usual suspects this time around |

England to the Semi's
Brasil to the final
Argentina to win
As for America, at the risk getting flamed, the USA will go out in the 1st round. They had to play the likes of Grenada and Panama to qualify, whereas my nation (Wales) get the likes of England, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Holland and any other footballing super power you can think of (minus Argentina & Brasil).
Any team in Europe has a huge task to qualify for the WC, but if your an African, Asian or Australasian team (mabye South America, to a lesser extent) or an American its a blummin cake walk to qualify for the world cup.
On top of that, FIFA then rank the teams using the results, thats why the US in ranked 4th in the world.............FOURTH FOR GODS SAKE!!!!!!!!!! They don't play any world class sides, thats why they dont get bad results
Rant over, sorry bout that. BTW I will obviously be rooting for England

I find it maddening that Canada isn't good enough to be in the World Cup. I think we'll all be rooting for England.
Maybe one day my girls will be there. My younger one got a goal in her first game, despite the bigger boys on her own team trying to take the ball away from her, and even after they knocked her down a few times to get the ball from her, the little bastards. She kept digging & eventually kept it away from them & took it for a goal.

Kolo Toure said that Ivory Coast could 'go one better than Arsenal'. Very far-fetched optimism on his part, I'm sure, but I would love to see an African side lift the cup.
Go the underdogs...

My brain says: Brazil
My heart says: Netherlands, Sweden (always been a fan of both for some reason)
My country: The US (yes, I'll cheer for them)
Still, a Brazil/Argentina finals (if even possible) would be some sweet action! Yankees/Red Sox for the Football illiterate.
Another great final would be Brazil/Germany...

Sorry folks - Brazil, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Sweden, Portugul, Serbia and Montenegro, USA, Australia, Croatia, and Trinidad and Tobago are all out of the running (not that all of them actually were IN the running) base on age. All of these squads are too old! Look to Ghana if you believe in the age thing.
Then say goodbye to Italy, Argentina, Netherlands, and Spain are out due to the lack of goal scorers available. Brazil, France, USA and England look better in this category, but all eyes should be on Korea Republic.
England appears to be more worried about foodstuffs, styling mousse, suntan lotion, TVs, and DVDs getting to Germany than their squad so call that a distraction that will keep them from the Cup.
Germany seems to be under most of this radar and at 7-1 pre-tournament odds could be your victor! (Keep an eye on Portugal though.)

If we have a Ghana/Korea finals, I'll bow down and buy you a 5D!
