For those in the Northern Tier of the US, there should be a beautiful aurora display in progress *now*!. I can't see for myself, it's storming here :-P

Too early here, plus too far south. The k-index only hit 6, that's still pretty weak for 95% of the US. |

Thanks for the tip. I'm on the southern edge of the activity, but we are CAVU for the first time in 10 days. I'll check the northern sky tonight before the moon rises.
