Let's say I have a whole bunch of pictures that I shot snapshot-like that I want to edit quick and dirty - and resize 'em all so the long side is 1000 pixels or so for easy viewing via a shared folder on a computer at work.
I know there's gotta be an easier way than doing this one at a time, and I also know that some smart person here will probably tell me... :-)

ever used actions? you can edit one image and using a new action record what your are doing and save and name that action, then use the batch feature in photoshop using that action

| Only thing, if you record an action to simply resize all photos to say 1000 pix width, you're going to have portrait oriented shots at 1500 pix high. While recording your action, use file/automate/fit image and set both width and height to 1000 pixels, that way the largest side will only be 1000 pixels. Once you have your action recorded, go to file/automate/batch then choose the action you created, select the folder you stored them in, then choose a folder to store them to. |

I figured out how to record an action. Now I just have to take the next step and do it to a whole folder's worth. You guys are a wealth of knowledge!! |
