No colour, but Yousuf Karsh's work.

uhm... I think you need to post a new thread looking for a photographer and/or photography, and explain what you want, etc... there are too many extremely talented photographers with really awesome portfolios on here to be that vague.
just a thought, or look through DPC prints, or just start browsing through the profiles and PM somebody whose work you like |

The general is asking us to point him at websites of people (non-DPC) whom we consider to be "great" portrait photographers. He wants to see the work of some masters. Xion and Ray Ethier have both suggested he look at Yousuf Karsh, who's one of the great classic portrait photographers.
Surely amongst y'all out here you can come up with a BUNCH of more contemporary work for him (and the rest of us) to explore? This isn't an area I'm up-to-date on; all of my "admired" photographers of people are of an older school. I like Karsh, Avedon, Helmut Newton, Diane Arbus, Dorothea Lange, these all come to mind. I don't think (though I could be wrong) that this is what he's looking for.
