Hey I just got the Sigma 10-20 for Nikon. But it seems to really search for focusing going back and forth and back and forth. I have never had a superwide before and have a feeling that this is because of the type of lens. Am I correct? Do you usually just set it to infinity for the focusing? Anyone else know what I am talking about or experience this? Thanks.

| I just got the same lens also, but for Canon. I haven't notice anything similar to what you're descibing, but I've only had it a week and a half with limited use. So I'm also interested in what others have to say. |

I have this lens and have never had it do that...you almost don't know it's focussing..perhaps you have a faulty one Beau????

| Me too; same lens & I get instant and accurate autofocus in all but the lowest of light. |

nooooo. You guys DID NOT tell me what I wanted to hear. But good feedback is good feedback. I will try to shots today in the daylight walkabout. We shall see. Otherwise, I am sure B&H is very good about this kinda thing right?

Sahhhhhweeeeeet. I went thru the final checking of the lens and found that it must not have been connected perfectly, because when I took it off and reattached it, it focused perfectly and quickly. Other details about why I figured this out would take too long to type, but thanks to you guys for the helpful advice. Case closed.
