please tell me you're not serious! a person wearing a hat is two things??? what about a person wearing glasses? is that also 2 things? or a person wearing a suit, underwear, socks and shoes?

Actually, I am serious, but not hard core. As I said, I did not play the DNMC card and I did not deduct for it. I only added to entries that indeed had one item. What about a vase with flowers? How many things is that? If that is one thing and you follow the logic, a group of people around a birthday cake is "a party". Would that qualify as one thing?

All the people giving low scores because they think people aren't "things" are way more off base than me holding people to a single item, IMO. I know I'm coming off as a Nazi or whatever, for the record, I only scored one entry below a 5 and that was because I couldn't even identify the room, let alone the single item.

My entry has been given several 9s and 10s, along with several 3s and 4s, the 3s and 4s are probably because it has a person in it.

I am just curious....if people think a person wearing a hat is two items...then what is their conclusion of a person that is dressed!

Okay....just too make things quite clear here. I am not referring to my image whatsoever. Yes...I have been pretty angry over my image but hey...I am a big girl...I am over that. You lot cannot drag me down for too long...I am tougher than you think. But from this I am curious as to how people are thinking when they see these challenges and the entries. I am trying to learn what the DPC client wants from me.

I'm wondering how many people read the challenge? take one thing in... there were a few which had nothing. which makes me wonder if the people voting read it? Didn't enter this one but just got done voting and 'left behind' almost seems antiquated at this point!! :0P

there's like 8 titles like that so far...

If we've learned one thing from this challenge, psychology-of-DPCers-wise (an we always learn something about ourselves as a group from each challenge), it's that for many DPCers, the concept "empty room" calls forth a feeling of "abandonment".

I actually find this fascinating, frequently, the way a preponderance of certain titles and/or approaches to a challenge tells us something about the way many of our fellows think :-)

Or words to that effect... back to your regularly-scheduled piss'n moan...

Well I wish that would say it loud enough for others to hear it. It seems that there are many people on here that don't have that opinion. And my images are getting hit because of it...both in scores and comments. I really don't care what those people think...it is my body...and I will do what I please. It is just skin...to me the inner person is more important. Nudity has been used in photography for centuries...and will continue to be used for many forms of photography. I wish people would get over it and let me photograph what I love to photograph...the human form. Yes...I use my body a lot only because models are limited...but I have a few lined up for future shoots so you won't have to put up with it for much longer. But in the meantime I wish the Nudie Police would just get off my back.

I am sorry Melethia...I am not going off at you...but this is something that needed to be said. Yesterday I was in tears over a particular image...I was really angry. I wasn't going to say anything but I am not going to let this bottle up....peoples....vote how you want...comment how you want...but this is a photographic site...respect other photographers choice of subjects...regardless if that is nudity, flowers, babies...whatever.

I scored well on my Success image....why??? Because no one realised it was mine...the ones that are recognised are hit....so please....back off!!!

Then again if you lived with someone that saves every piece of junk including the boxes they came in you'll view an empty room much differently. :P

Oh course we are friends silly. I am only upset at the godlier than thou members who think they are better than anyone else and vote/comment accordingly...those people are known as trolls and in my case...the 'Nudie Police'.

I really don't think you are one of those Qiki...so don't fret...okies?

Judi - for the record, I'm both envious and proud of you for the comfort level you have in your own skin. Keep doing what you do and don't let the odd stinkers get you down. :-)

Hey Judi, just as Deb mentioned, kudos to you for having the guts and tenacity to enter images that are near and dear to your heart. There are lots of nay-sayers out there but do as your heart pleases. DPC is not the perfect gauge of whether you are a great and accomplished photographer. You are wonderful and quite talented I might add in your own right ;)

Follow your heart and do what pleases you most ;)

**hugs**

Yeah but it all depends on what you actually use them for. If you are one of the NP (Nudie Police) then you and I going to have words....if you aren't...then I am not sure that I want to know what you use them for. Arrrrggghhh!!

For heaven's sake, woman, use your imagination! (wink)
