I have always wanted to do a Mammoth cave tour, and a photo tour would be amazing to do. Do you think this might be a weekend thing? Or will it be during the week? Let me know I may try to take a trip down that way and do this.

I'll give you a quick bump if you will answer my question. Look up a bit for the actual question. Or maybe you dont want an Oly guy to attend the GTG :-)

My wife and I went to Mammoth Cave last weekend. We had lots of fun. I could take a camera but no tripod on our tour.

Do you have a date set yet??

06/04/2006 09:14:12 PM · #12
Of we want the old guys attending! heehheee! I dont get on herre so much anymore? We really havent set a date yet? Mondays are always the best for me, but I am kinda flexible.

Let's try for Monday, then. July 3rd should be a holiday for most people anyway, though I wonder if the park will be open...?

Shannon, when you call and if they are open the 3rd, are you going to get you a ticket at that time? I think they sell out pretty fast in the summer.
06/05/2006 10:37:56 PM · #17
Yes, I'll probably book a ticket tomorrow.
06/07/2006 10:01:59 PM · #18
I am BOOKED for the Mammoth Cave photo tour on July 3rd! If anybody else wants to go, you need to call 800-967-2283 or make reservations online (it's $10). The tour is limited to 30 people, so don't get left out! I got two tickets in case either a DPCer tries to book too late or NOBODY else comes and I bring a friend or relative. Note that the photo tour is called Focus on Travertine if you book online (at least that what I was told), and it starts at 6:45pm. I hope we get a nice GTG crowd!

Cool, I'm booking my tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure somebody was going to be there. I didn't want to travel 3 hours and take pictures by myself.

The tour starts at 6:45 pm?

Correctamundo. You need to arrive 15 minutes early to pick up your tickets, and the tour is 2 hours long.
