Congratulations! I'm still avoiding dSLRs myself -- I do a lot of one-handed shooting -- but I went out yesterday and got a Canon S3 IS to replace the S1 which was stolen a few months ago.

You only have to wait another 26 hours and 6 minutes until the Green challenges comes up : )

OK, here's one unrelated to anything, except I decided to go out and get the camera because Isaac and I were going to a friend's birthday party. This is shot holding it up over the crowd around the table, using the tilt/swivel LCD screen ... just resized with IrfanView, but otherwise unadjusted.

I just ordered the S3 at work...finally upgrading from a mavica fd93? I use mine mostly but we still needed a new one. I figured this would be the best one for what we need at the college....

The video capabilities make it very versatile. The shutter-lag (still!) makes it a pain for action shots, though the swiveling LCD lets you capture things in directions you normally couldn't. It is easy to get carried away with the 12x zoom. Someday, I really want to use the time-lapse feature. Only really bad thing about it is no RAW or TIFF captures -- JPEG only : (
