Don't know if the title is misleading..but check out these Canadian-made computer and photography bags. They're so much better looking and better quality than a typical bag. Great for odd sized gear too.
CRUMPLER
....they even swear on the website..not something I condone but still - at least indicates they're stuff is going to be somewhat different and edgy.

One note...when the home page opens you have to click and drag the monster icon on the bottom left to view the menu of bags. |

While I understand the slang use of the word sick, using it to describe bags might not be the best choice. Makes me think of barf bags. ;) |

Stay away from the "__ Million Dollar Bags", the single clip design on the front is horrible if you carry the bag by the upper handle, the weight isn't evenly distributed and the bag distorts and looks like a nightmarish creation of some junior-high sewing class. Not to mention the "diaper bag" remarks I received (it really does look like a diaper bag, especially with the baby-blue fabric showing out from under the otherwise manly black and gray).
Otherwise, hooray crumpler. |

yeah, I also thought that this was going to be a thread on airplane bags, and I was preparing myself for the worst, but you know what they say, it's like a trainwreck... |

When I used to sell cameras we had some conferences where Crumpler was involved and they are a very 'out there' type of business. Very different!

The old bag across the street was sick last week. I provided jello and ginger ale to ease symptoms. She recovered. |

I have a Crumpler camera bag, one of the smaller ones (they don't make the exact model anymore), which is pretty much the perfect travel bag. It's pretty much indestructable (I've been trying for 3ish years), fits the camera with kit lens, one extra lens plus a few other bits and pieces (spare memory, remote shutter release, ultrapod), and it looks cool. Can't recommend these things highly enough. They're a bit expensive but totally worth it. |

GeneralE, of the Limerick, a Master.
He can pop them out Oh, so much faster
Than Tom, Dick, or Harry
Or Martha, or Mary -
That's why his anthology's vaster.
I really enjoyed spending some time reading your Limericks, Paul. Quite clever. Very nice work, indeed. Thanks for the link. |

Thanks! Though that one was not a spur of the moment composition by any means -- it's been through the entire workshopping (editing) process over there. I just happened to remember that I had a relevant one already written (and how to find it!).
On the other hand, your piece is really good and improvised -- I'm suitably impressed!
OEDILF is a very entertaining and educational site -- I should be devoting more time there instead of in these forums .. : (
amandalore: Yes, I wrote that one (with some editing help). It's another world-wide community collaborating on an amazing and fun (though possibly pointless) project.

GeneralE is already in my "Favorite Limericksters" list, but now S.T.Jesus goes into my "Favorite Analogists" bucket.
...I assumed airline barf bags from the topic as well. I have a collection from my travelling consulting days. They work ok for zoom lenses but not much more. |

I have got to start writing down some of my Chinese Limericks that I make up now and again to tease the kids...
Might be an interesting addition...
Oh for more time! |

There was a pretty good limerick thread running around about a year ago.

Pretty expensive here in Denmark, look nice though. I'm happy with my Slingshot for now.
I thought they were from Aussie, not Canada....

why a bag at all?
1. for storage or in-between locations - use a dry box
2. for carrying around - use a simple case/hang it on your neck
(tongue in cheek) |

I just bought a Karachi Outpost, or Brian's Hot Tub as it's called in the UK. Great bag on the whole. I have to lug a laptop, 2 bodies, 70-200mm, 28-70mm, 12-24mm, flash, chargers, etc etc around festivals and the bag does the trick pretty well.
