C'mon people, use your imaginations! Think outside the box! Find a photo of an empty room on the internet, put it on your monitor, stick a glass in front of it and you've got your entry!

Dammit, woman, gotta go and spoil my blue ribbon idea.... Oh. Wait! I can still do it - I can stick my cat in front of the monitor! Yay!!

Or a flower, possibly poignantly wilted. Classy with an edgy room photo.

Some people have all the luck. I have a room. Now I just need the willingness to empty the darn thing and a suitable object to photograph. I'm not asking for much here.... ;)

Well, DUH. The room has to be in space.

Anything!
A priceless antique or a half-eaten sandwich, it doesn't matter.
Get creative :D

I have 10 rooms in my house not counting bathrooms, and there is no way any of them are empty or likely to be so in the next few days!!! I think I just might sit this one out!

I thought this room was empty... low and behold it's full of sensor dust.

You gotta think beyond your own 4 walls folks....find an abandoned building, and empty apartment that you prentend you would like to see, or a house for sale - or even your work place if they have an empty room. This challenge gives us a lot of latitude and room for creativity.

I hope you aren't speaking on a relative scale, because compared to other challenges this one gives us very little latitude and room for creativity.

I'm just excited to hear all the stories about criminal tresspass that collect over the week.

what i'm struck by, is if that "thing" in an empty room be a "living thing"

I woudnt think it would matter if it were living or not as long as it is the only subject in the room

I'm really hoping I don't get caught and arrested. That would be very difficult to explain to my employer.... but I do have this idea.... ;)

I have a good idea - just need the cooperation of a model....and I'm asking a lot of them

Once you and your "Thing" are inside the room, it is no longer EMPTY, right?

Yes! technically this is IMPOSSABLE to do, as is many of the requests of clients and bosses. If you argued too, much you could lose the opportunity.

Art, Photography, Congressional Legislature, and everything in life, are subject to interpretation. Just put a "gavel" into the room and title it "Verdict - is it EMPTY?"

The room neen not be your own, try an empty public restroom, or a chche without seats, or a construction site (with permission). Or di it without permission, end up in jail. Then beg them to allow you just your camera and a coin to photograph. A room can be any size or location. Dah, maybe it's a mushroom?

You see, I'm coming up with ideas like this then discarding them because I honestly don't know if a public restroom, complete with sinks, garbage cans, stalls, toilets, will be considered empty...

Doc, you're worrying entirely too much. :-)

I'm going to take a photo of a coin on the window sill. Outside the window there will be a three ring circus on fire being put out by a helicopter. That will be OK won't it.
