I got two consecutive votes - 8 and 2. Go Figure!! To me it's more of a monitor calibration issue than love/hate situation. |

Just wondering how you know, or find out the individual vots cast?? |

I think:
Score now 7.456 with 20 votes = 7.456x20= 149.12
Score update 7.550 with 21 votes = 7.550x21 = 158.55
158.55 - 149.12 = 9.43 so last score was a 9
I'm pretty sure this is how it is done.

That's how it's done, but typically it will be a whole number instead of something like 9.43, unless votes were changed.
It's also fairly easy to guess combinations of votes. For example, if you have two votes that averaged 5.5, a safe guess is a 5 and 6. Or 6.3333 for 3 votes is two 6 votes and a 7. If you hit the update button frequently it gets really easy to figure it out.
The other day at work somebody paged "759". My first thought was, "WOW, what a great score!!" |

If you miss a few and say you get 10 additional votes...do the math like is showed and then divide the final number by 10 to get the average of those last 10 votes.

well so far I have voted and commented on 50% of the entries. Ther are a lot of really nice shots in this challenge. Commenting has been pretty much painless, if I ignore the rude PM I recieved back from one unhappy entrant. That PM was reported for violation of ToS rules.

I just got a 2 vote, too. That is one angry voter. I don't think I've ever given out a 2.

Hopefully it was favorable and not too harsh. I'm trying to leave constructive comments pointing out the likes/dislikes

Something about a big piece of polish poo ... :)
For the humour impaired - I'm kidding! Linda wouldn't leave that kind of comment - her's was an exceptionally well crafted comment with which I happen to agree. And it didn't mention any form of poo. |

Lmao, thanks Alfresco. :)
Now...to talk husband into doing it....
kidding...as soon as he comes homes I will!!!!! I love this site.
Hope everyone is recieving the scores they deserve. I can see alot of hard work went into some of the really good ones...and agree with the above statement that some were just really really off course.
But, alas, even some of the off course ones could have won a medal in another category. :)
