at first glance this seems like a bit of a disadvantage for us newbies...
"Your entry must be a reshoot of one of your own entries."

but at least it will be a bit easier to choose which one to reshoot - I would hate to be looking back through 100 potential entries

I don't get a lot of comments telling me how to improve. So I guess I'll redo one of the lower scoring entries.

so new members without any previous submissions can shoot anything?

edit: I love the idea, by the way

Should we title them the same? Do we include a thumbnail of the original in the photo description so people can compare afterwards? I think that would be interesting.

You could call it a disadvantage for the veterans also, since it used to be easier to get a higher score than it is now. For example, the exact same 6.0 image from 3 years ago, might only get a 5.0 or less if entered in a challenge now.

I would chose yes, and yes, personally. This is NOT a 'you should do this' from the SC, it's just my own personal choice if I decide to enter, that is what I will do.

Hmm, I wonder how many honorable mentions will be reshot because we know those really needed a lot of work. :P

Nope... not gonna do it... no more SP's from me for a while. :-P

I will probably reshoot one of my less popular entries... too many anonyminity Nazi's out there to get away with my more popuar shots.

Ooh, this one's gonna be fun! Then again it's easy for me, because I don't have many to choose from.

some serious questions:
1. is it grounds for DQ if someone submitted an entry which is not from his/her previous entry?
2. is it grounds for DQ if someone submitted an photo of an entry from another member?
3. must the entry be entirely the same as the previous entry?

IMHO:
1 and 2, yes because this time it's RULES, not just description.
3, I'd say no because the idea is to improve it, so there's no way it COULD be the same, right?

EDIT--Ignore me...it IS in the rules.

I would think that if the entry was entirely the same...then it wouldn't have been improved upon. ;)
