Well, after a good deal of frustration over past finishes, I was finally able to crack the top 20 for a challenge. My Heat entry was by far my best result since I joined this site last year, only once before having cracked the 6.0 mark. Thanks for all the great comments and votes that enabled my 18th place finish. My entry finished sandwiched between Rikki's 17th place finish and Goodman's 19th place finish, so obviously I'm thrilled with a result that would put me with two great photographers as these two, as well as all the other folks who participated. Thanks again!

A very worthy high placement. Was one of my highest scores and a favorite in the challenge. Nice job!

Congrats, a great shot. I could imagine this as a sports drink advert.

Great score rasdub and great shot. During braingstorming for this challenge I had come up with the same shot, but lacked access to any bald black guys...;)

Congratulations! Feels good, doesn't it? I remember when I got my first top 20, I think I drove my family crazy telling them about it.

I don't know why but I really liked the images that didn't rely on red/orange colors to produce the feeling of heat. Yours and Qart's were great examples of that.

Sweet Dave! Congrats to you dude. That was a great image. Gotta enjoy the moment dude and a top 10 finish isn't that far from now ;)

Great job Dave!
