I'm leaning toward a BMW, too. I haven't voted yet, but I'll just give everyone an 8 so I'm covered. :-)

Wow. Just flipped through the thumbs (I should have been in bed long ago!) and I may actually end up giving everyone an 8. Some great work in this challenge!!

Okay, I finished my first round of voting. I gave anyone who did more than just take a picture of a building a 6 or higher (i.e. creative lighting, angle, post processing, etc).

Good night and good luck.

Thanks Mr. Troll for your lovely 3. Your vote is the first one I have received in the 1-5 range. How about leaving a comment next time?

crap...

Well, I tried something different, a different viewpoint, you might say. Or it's just my crappy editing style... sub 4.9 at the moment.

Perhaps I should have gone with my original photo :>(

LOL I've been asked to validate and that's exactly what I suspected would happen. Can't tell you the details, but my photo is as valid as can be.

I wonder, can't Langdon see the descriptions we put in? That way he would've known it's valid.

Anyway, it's doing 5.5 at 18 votes, no comments yet.

You mean: if one shot a lousy photo but used a lot of lighting, angle, post processing etc. you voted it high and the one that took just a picture of a building which didn't need all that work to make it look good, you voted low?
LOL I must've entered the wrong contest, thought this was a photo contest rather than a PS contest.

There seem to be a pattern to this... Scores are usually fairly good after voting starts. Then - as the Americans/Canadians wake up - around 14:00GMT the scores almost always starts going down.

I always thought trolls came from Norway but they seem to have moved across the pond! ;)

Seriously - I respect all votes and voters no matter where they came from.

I've noticed in my case, it's the opposite. My scores always start low and get better as the week goes on.

I second that. Always drops down quite a bit around noon my time and then it's creeping up slowly towards the end of the week. I started with 18 votes at 5.5 and now it's:

Avg Vote: 5.2500

Updated: 05/29/06 05:41 am

But maybe that's because someone asked for a validation, which made me laugh, because it's as valid as can be, but I almost know for sure why they think it's not and that's a great compliment to some other person. Can't reveal details of course, but all will be clear when voting is done.

edit: typo

Still in the Scary Phase of voting where score fluctuation can lead to innappropriate gestures towards, and occassionally violence against, keyboards and monitors.

Do you ever sleep, jp? :)

From a 6.5 after 2 votes, to a 7.25 after 4, to a 6.25 after 14 or so, to this:

I'm betting you've got me covered this time. I fully expect this'll slip below the magic 6 before the day is over, but I'm not the least bit disappointed. I really did enjoy the heck out of shooting for this challenge.
