Justine .. you rock !!!
I like a lot .. how could I say ... dunno ... the 'futility' of that .. because then it gives it its 'important non importance' and make it kinda a 'jewel'.

I think the scale should be updated between member challenge and non member ...

I like it even if it does not display nice results for me this week ;-)

Hah, No.
Just my request for additional stats on the homepage.
This calculator does not work to accurately. I have tried it against a handful of completed challenge photos. It misses by 10 or 15 places.

I'd just like to second Gringo's request. It'd be an unneccessary addition, but a fun one at that. Then I'd be able to find out if I'm last or second last in the current time contest = ).

I've posted about this before, and why I think it could be a bad idea.


Scenario:

Person has 7.5 score and is in 2nd place.
They might only be a few points behind 1st place.
To see if they are, they vote down the better photos until they see that they are 1st place.

You could always program it to lie and not tell anyone they're higher than tenth or so...

If anyone had a 9.75 and was 5th...well if it was me, I'd jump off a bridge! 9.75!! lol Nice calculator, too.

It seems to me this would be highly resource intensive. Instead of having to calculate my stats every time I click refresh, it would have to do a full results calculation, which takes a lot longer.

It would also spoil the excitement of the Monday morning rush to see where I finished.
Even with an 8+ score last week (brag, brag ; ) ) I had doubts in the back of my mind, especially after seeing some of the other great entries. What if the voters were just being really kind and there were lots of high scores?
Let's save some of the fun till the end of the week : )
