So I entered a challenge on this site, and it seems to be doing pretty well. But today I noticed that they have a link under the entries, they have a print view button, that brings up your picture to see how it will look if you print it. Are other people (legally) allowed to make copies of your images, even if they don't plan on selling them or anything?

This just seems like a weird thing to put on a photography site, it's begging others to steal your work...or am I just paranoid?

My pic is here if you'd like to see what I mean.

So what are your thoughts on the matter?

Looks like they're using a package software. They probably just didn't think/know how to disable it.

Well I looked and looked and didn't see any print view/preview buttons on any version of your shot I viewed on that site. Perhaps browser specific? (using FF 1.5)

It's just a bit below the larger view link on the shot page.

Edit: It is in the Additional Info frame.

I looked and looked for a TOS but all they got is a Forum FAQ. Kind of scary that the only mention that Photog retains rights is in the forum, only after someone asked. No "Photographs are property of blah blah blah" to warn visitors.

That site does look pretty scary. Not sure I'd want my photos there.

Edit: and mk was right it is a package. It runs on a package called "vBulletin 3.5.3"

They've disabled right-clicking, but I was able to print it off from the PrintView (to see if it was possible - not a good print because my printer is almost out of ink. ;-))
