Yeah, I know, it's probably been said before....

I just want to thank D&L, the ever-hardworking SC, and the folks who hang here for this site in general. I'd like to particularly thank The Powers That Be that determine challenges. Why? I've seen more of this fine city and its surroundings in the past five months than in the first two years I lived here. This week I've had a blast researching the city's architecture, and instead of being a hermit at home on a Friday night as I usually do, I spent the evening scoping out some potential subjects. Tomorrow morning I'll grab my bike and head out to shoot. Light wasn't my friend this evening and may not be tomorrow morning either, but it's still an adventure.

In the past few months I've also spent way too much money at the local craft store; have purchased one new lens and am contemplating one to replace the kit lens; and worst of all, am thinking I might want a whole 'nuther camera body at some point. I guess I don't thank D&L for that - but I can at least blame them, right?

Anyway, I sure as heck get a kick out of trying to come up with something for a challenge, getting out and shooting it, and yes, learning new stuff from the wise people who hang out here.

You've neatly summed up what DPC is all about, and, IMO why it's so much a community... and a bit of why it's an addiction ;-)

DPC has given me life.....all be it a 5.10 avg. life.....its still a life....sort of! LOL.

Thanks guys from me as well, it has been an incredible journey, that has actually taken me across the U.S. at times. And the diversity is awesome. If we could just stop those damn Icelanders from winning. LOL.

A big XOXOXOX to the panel as well.

I've enjoyed DPC and trying to be more creative and shoot for the challenge not make a shot I like be forced to work for a challenge...which sadly I've done in the past...but hopeful will try not to do again. But the helpfulness I have received from people here has been awesome and few communities on the net can compete with what we all have hereâ€Â¦even though there is some petty stuff happening now and thenâ€Â¦but tell me another group of tens of thousands that don’t bicker ever so often. And am very glad that this site was thought up and has become so slick and easy to use and fun, addictingâ€Â¦and even maddening sometimesâ€Â¦trolls suck !! So summed up great site and don’t think there is anything better on the net today that offers what we got.

Clint
