Scores seem to be going up lately. In the self portrait challenge, Robert place 96th overall and still had a score of 6.000. 66th place in Environmental Portrait got a 6.00, and all the way to 35th was a 6.01 in the lens cap challenge...lens caps, how good can you make those? Are we getting better, or did someone kill the trolls?

i noticed too... my self portrait finish was like... 700/701, but i got a 'decent' score.

I'd be a bit worried about a 66th place with a 6.00... :-) |

Some stats (it's amazing what a little free time allows you to do):
The Self Portrait challange was a high quality challenge going by some of the numbers (maybe people were scared of offending :-)):
* 9th highest ever Average Score (5.837)
* 8th highest ever Highest Score (8.271)
* joint 19th highest in the Average Number of comments per entry (24)
Lenscap is not necessarily what it seems, and the quality of the entries varied widely:
* 8th lowest ever Lowest Score (2.024)
* 20th ever largest difference between the highest and lowest scores (5.381) which is almost exactly the average score (5.361)
DPC Cinema:
* 8th ever smallest difference between the highest and lowest scores (2.89)
The Average High Score: 7.3515
The Average Average Score: 5.3047
The Average Low Score: 3.1755
Average: comments as a percentage of votes: 6.23% (caveat ... I think that this is only comments during voting, which is the stat that is important, although I am not sure.)
And anyway, it's all just numbers ...
