This is a question for those that are selling photos with Alamy. I was wondering what people are doing with the "Alamy distribution" option, where third-party distributors have contracted with Alamy to sell your pictures and you make 45% on pictures sold. Is this worth doing? Are there any risks? Pros adn cons? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Is anyone even familiar with this feature at Alamy? I know there are a lot of Alamy contributors on this forum. I would really really appreciate any comments at all on this. I just want to be sure I don't make a huge mistake by signing up or not signing up. Thanks in advance for your help.

I use the distributor function. The way I see it, more exposure is more exposure.

Cons are most likely that Alamy cannot guarantee performance of third parties - such as overseas agents in non-English speaking territories. The more links there are in a chain, the more potential weeknesses. But, as Idnic says, paraphrased, no risk, no gain.

OK, sounds like it can't hurt to give it a try and no one is reporting any problems with using this feature.
