Thankfully it turned out to be a failed experiment and we were put out of its misery.
It's the same with any negativity (and with a name like 'killed', it was negative). There is a certain portion of any community that will take that negativity and wear it as a badge of honor, and in their attempts to increase that 'honor' they, perhaps inadvertantly, worked against the positive purposes of the community. But it's not just the 'killed' stat, some have stood with pride and a sense of accomplishment at having claimed the 'brown' ribbon.
I am glad the negative stat was removed.

I am glad they try new stuff. This one did not work.
I love the fact they are always tinkering to make it a better site. |
