Ok, I had decided to get the Sigma 10-20 for extreme wide angle work (mainly interior shots) but am now considering the Nikon 10.5 fisheye.
I do have a Zenitar 16mm fisheye that I enjoy using with film but on the D70 sensor it's usage is very limited.
So, do I go with the more versatile 10-20 and give up the 180 degrees view or the 10.5 but then have to rely on de-fishing for many of my shots?
Out of interest, does anyone know the equivalent focal length of a de-fished image?

I like the 10.5 Fish but it's the only fisheye that I know so by comparison I can't be to helpful. I do think fisheyes are limted but a lot of fun and great if you have a direct use for one.
If you need the fisheye by all means go for it but I'd bet most anything you make greater use of the 10-20...but it all depends on your real needs.

I don't know much about the technical side, Colda, but I have done a lot of research and my next lens purchase is gonna be the Sigma 10-20. So I would recommend the Sigma...

I've used both. The 10.5 is really either a novelty lens or a style choice. It's not a landscape/interior lens in the traditional sense.
For what you want to do, I'd go with the 10-22. |

I'm starting to think that it might be an idea to keep using the 16mm and shoot slides when I really need it and go with the Sigma 10-20.
Still not 100% though - anyone else?

I wouldn't use a fisheye lens for architectural shots unless it was for artistic things. If you are taking pictures for real estate, then I would stick with a traditional lens.
Also I'm intereseted in the Zenitar 16mm fisheye. Could you post some shots you have taken with it on a DSLR? |
