I would like to nominate this photo. Whilst the technique is not perfect it really catches the essence of the life of a country girl in the big open spaces without fear of the traffic.

This is out of the box for the challenge where most entered a workplace as the environment this simply caught the girls natural environment and whoever thought a portrait could be done with the subjects back to the camera another great idea.

should have been walking toward the camera, preferrably backlit and sepia, with a sundress on. :P

Way out of the box...have to do some serious thinking to come up with your synopsis. Most viewers aren't going to do that, even when they think they are.

And that's a good reason to have awards like this. :)

Guess I should add, I don't see this image as fitting the challenge and wouldn't describe it as an environmental portrait.

"Out Of The Box" for me, in DPC terms is becoming synonymous with bad ideas. Usually...bad ideas, not well executed. The term has been cheapened beyond recognition.

That's what people thought about "sucking" until Team Suck came along!

I thought this was a winner with the processing as well
