Soooo glad to hear it Deannda! Fourteen is such a tough age for any teen girl, and I think it's even more difficult for parents. Your "tough love" and support are something she will look back on and treasure. |

Wonderful News Deannda! It's so hard to be a teenager these days, major pressures all around. Things I couldn't even imagine worrying about when I was younger. It sounds like things are calm for now. I'm sure she'll find her peace within. :)

I am so happy for you. I know how scary that time must have been for you. I am a pharmacist and I also specialize in overdose and toxicology. If you have any questions about her medications feel free to send me an email.
Glad she is home.

Yes! Glad to hear that Mellisa is back! Just be prepared for things to be tough for a little while still. Meds may need adjusting, Love will need to be dosed out as needed (hard love at times, soft love at others) but everyone is back where they NEED to be. Love and luck headed your way!
Yours always

Thanks everyone! I had started a thread about this when she went into the hospital but then realized I had a challenge entry with her in it and had SC hide it because I felt really bad about talking about it while she was in there.
We had a great morning, everyone up and ready to go without any complaints! Yeah!

Great news! Thank you for sharing. Ya, it's very tough at that age. She is a beautiful girl and you must be very proud of her. One thing that might boost her self-confidence a bit, take lots of photos of her and put them up around the house. Nothing too much to make it obvious, but the really nice shots that she likes and is proud of. Also, do things with her that she is particularly good at, don't venture off into new hobbies that she might not excel at to avoid dissappointment. You probably already do this, so forgive me if I am being redundant. Best wishes to you and your family. |
