Nasti finally talked me into assisting her at a wedding shoot today. So when I wasn't holding the reflector for her I got a few shots in sideways of Nasti in wedding action. It was quite an experience, she goes wild and shouts and screams at everyone. And they always do exactly what she says :) Scarey!

Down in Brooklyn, overlooking the East River with the classic view of downtown Manhattan under the Brooklyn Bridge, we usually have about 20 weddings being shot, many Chinese, every Saturday. Today was no exception, but more diverse - Chinese, Indian ceremonies, Jewish, Italian.... It is like a factory down there. I'd like to see your team working that show sometime and take a few shots on the sideline. You'd earn at least Pizza at Patsy's and beer afterwards.. ;-)

as I promised here

this was the wedding where gary assisted me :) was fun...it rained terribly but the couple was so much in love, I think they even didn't notice it :)))

Great set of pictures that underline the fact that the weather was almost immaterial to the couple and how they felt about each other.

Just what you need Gary. Thanks for posting these, always a joy to see someone who is so engaged in her work; totally absorbed.

Great shots the both of you!

Gary, I think you just wanted an excuse to shoot shots of nasti from behind. ;)

Anastasia AND Kiwiness... how many wedding couples can claim that kind of dream team for their photography?!

Umm, why on earth is she dressed like she's going out for beer and pizza with her buddies? One certainly need not wear a tux, but faded jeans, leather jacket and around her neck - looks like pantyhose?

She may have "control of the crowd" but does she have their respect?

perhaps it's different there than here...rule of thumb here is dress like the guests.

Must be different between countries, I dunno. Anyway the way she screams at them believe me she has their respect :) And even more so after they have seen the photos :)

Yeah, people will put up with a TON of crap if you've got cred, no matter what your profession. If you're just some dude, then they expect you to conform. Doesn't matter where you are.

Super genious software programmers wear whatever the hell they want, pc techs at a fortune 500 company... you bet their attire is locked down.

tastes differ you know...and it was a casual wedding of some friends, I see no reason of dressing up, one can dress up and take crappy photos :) I concentrate on shooting, it rained and i was laying on the ground which i won't probably do in an evening gown.
