It's actually a rotating draw bridge and that's where it opens at. It is also a toll brige, but the toll is at the bottom of the bridge.
Thanks all for the input. Really helped. I think I'll keep it as is without the bird for now. Will reshoot it tomorrow and keep it sharp and post those then. |

After seeing the lastest revisions, I LIKE the bird in the shot. It gives it some dimension. I reallly like this photo. Very calming. Just MY 2¢ worth. |

I must admit - seeing the pic without the bird...I too like it better with the bird there.

I think the blur makes it look OOF....I have had some success in making shots look "Old" by adding noise rather then blur...I prefer it with more sky, and the bird either there or not doesn't make alot of diff for me :)
But I love the feel of the shot.

Me, too. First glance takes me straight to the buildings on the far shore, then follows the bridge back to the foreground. |

Nice shot. My eye goes directly to the structure above the bridge above the 2nd pillar from the right. |

I'd get rid of that 'spec', it looks like a seagull maybe? And the horizon seems a little sloped to the right. That's what caught my eye first. |
