I need help in a very simple matter, but bad enough for a starter like me.
I chose a paintbrush to touch one of my pictures, and from then on I can not deselct the brush, it is staying with me and coming into its own each time I open a pic and put the mouse on the surface !
Even if I close photoshop and re-open, it is still there !
I can work ! How to get rid of it !!!?? |

If you mean you need to select other tools, choose them from the toolbar by clicking. You can hover your mouse over the toolbar icons to see keyboard shortcuts for each. For example, type M to choose the marquee selection tool. |

Or just choose another brush shape if that's what you need. |

In Photoshop, a tool is always selected. I've gotten into the habit of hitting the M key to revert to the marquee selection tool. |

I usually hit V when I am not editing. Otherwise, I always have a brush selected. If you wanna move the pic around, just hold down the space bar and drag. |
