I want to blow this up to 20x30...

It's a full, uncropped 8 megapixel image. It was taken on 800 ISO because of the darkness and no flash but I've neat imaged almost all of the noise out.

What do I need to do in terms of DPI to get this to 20x30...or do I just print from where the image is now?

Thanks so much.

If printing with DPCPrints then the DPI must be a minimum of 150.

To determine the dpi of the image before interpolation do one of the following:

Divide the short side pixel dimension by 20
Divide the long side pixel dimension by 30

This will tell you if you have enough pixels to print at 150 dpi.

An uncropped 350D image is 3456px high x2304px wide (in portrait orientation), so you're at about 115dpi. That's low for a "normal" print, but not for a poster. You could resize upward to 150dpi, but it's not absolutely necessary. Many printers will handle the conversion pretty well on their own.
Remember that if you upsize, you won't get any greater detail, just a little smoother look, at the cost of a *lot* more data to be uploaded. There are as many ideas on optimal upsizing techniques as there are photographers, IMO.
In the end what you do depends on the printer you're using, and the end product. In this case it looks like you are wanting this to function as a poster, in which case I'd say "print it as it is" and don't worry about upsizing.
As Colette posted, you wouldn't be able to print from DPC Prints at less than 150dpi though.

So basically I should just leave it as is?

I'm looking to print through photoworks.com...has anyone had any experience with them?
