| Are there any other sites similar to this one out there - particularly with forums/contests? I love this site and I am looking for any others - the more the merrier. |

Fotofight
Not as many entries as here, and a bunch of the members are members from here, as well. |

I've entered like one contest on fotofight. Niether eyefetch nor fotofight hold my attention for long, but they are ok.

I tried FotoFight a long time ago. It was nothing like being here. Perhaps it was because the site was young or at the time the most active members were people who left here for one reason or another. I decided this site had all I needed and then some and more than worth the membership cost. I am only mediocre here so couldn't see spreading the mediocrity too thin. I have learned something with every challenge I have entered here (and a good percentage of the threads read)...too bad I seem unable to get it all together in one shot. But it doesn't take long to realize that with a good search technique, this site has more information from real experience that just cannot be matched anywhere else in my opinion.

This does look kind of interesting, at least conceptually. What I don't get is there seems to be hardly any information about how it works. i.e.:
-What are the rules (for editing, etc.)?
-Who's retaining copyright on the images?
-Is an image that's won one daily award eligible for another?
-etc. |

One thing that is cool at eyefetch are those little country flags. Makes it feel olympic like. :P

I have to put in a plug for Digital Image Cafe (Disclaimer: I own that site...)
We have a POTD contest in 8 categories with monthly and quarterly prizes as well as image critiquing. Before I bought the site, I would enter images here for DPChallenge contests and then use them at the Cafe as well. It is a very friendly photographer community with many crossover members from DPChallenge.
