I´m selling my Kiev medium format camera system and thinking about buying Hasselblad or Mamiya. I´m gonna spend max 800$. I have found some cameras from both manufactures but when I started looking at prizes on Hasse lenses my wallet hurts. So I´m mostly thinking of Mamiya now. Anyone here that knows these cameras? Dont know if I should buy 645 or 67. I will be using it in studio and outdoors.
Thanx |

Congratulations!!!
why don't you buy Canon 1Ds Mark II? it is close to medium format cameras in quality and get more advanced features as it is compatible with Canon EF lenses and its body is weather resistance very well.
It is up to you, i just wish you good luck and you are lucky to look on medium format cameras ;-) |

You can buy it from anywhere in the world if it is used, so what about meduim format cameras then? i heard that those medium are around $20000 unless he will buy something used then 1Ds mark II used should be cheaper, am i wrong? |

he's looking for a film camera not digital, so a medium format film camera is available from about $50 used.
and they still give better results than a $7000 1Ds II ;)

I think (and I have been wrong before) that digital back can be bought for many MF cameras that provide 17-18 (or more) megapixels, also.
And besides, MF cameras just look sooooooo pro :-)

WOW, a 39 megapixel camera... I'd have to have like 10 gigs more memory in my puter, so as not to crash PS CS2 trying to do a simple curves adjustment ... LOL
