i'm going to Scotland for 2 weeks at the end of the summer so bought a wide angle lens for my 350d to try and capture some of the fantastic scenery there, the lens is link and i'm not too happy with it, i know some people have taken some excellent images with it, not to mention the famous pug love picture :) but and it could just me my copy is a bit soft and even with the petal hood i get sun glare.
do i need to give it a proper go? which i must admit i may not have done or would anybody recommend a lens to swap it for i can sell it for about £180 max on ebay so no more then that cos i'm skint from buying telescope stuff :) |

I've not heard much about that lens.
I got the sigma 18-50 2.8 EX - i paid more than the gong rate, but at the gong rate it's cheaper than the one you got, has more range and is faster at the long end.
My sigma is a little soft below 3.5, but otherwise is a good lens.
