I just started my new job and I am to work on Mac. I have a G4, 800M, 512Ram.
It's my second day of work and I found myself that clicking crtl+click you get the righ click on PCs. Any other helpful tips? Pls
I am really busy and can not sit on net to search myself,
Thanks!

I still wonder if it's an egoistic part on Apple to not adapt the 2-button mouse earlier (they lately introduced it as if it's a new discovery, lol) and also the mouse-wheel. I feel these are really productive functions of a mouse and I still cant stand the idea of having to press Ctrl on the keyboard to get into Menus on the mac. |

I am a mac user and i love it when i switched i did find it abit annoying with the one click thing but you get used to it. But you can get a pc mouse and use that instead of a mac mouse and you can use the right click i think?.
When you go mac you dont go back!!!!!
with macs its all about the quick keys as well so if you learn them you are good to go.
if i think of any otherthing i will post
cowie

you mean if we get one of those cool Logitech mouse and plug it into the mac, it would allow us to use the wheel and all the extra buttons? cool!
this mouse from apple is a very dumb hardware. It's hard to drag a file on the screen and realize you run out of desk space to move the mouse. Who needs a mouse which is entirely a mouse-button anyway? So much for trying to think-different, lol

when using Mail do NOT press option+Q to get @, it quits the program without warning :) use ALT+2 for @
and get a normal USB mouse, that one button mouse is crap...

In the Finder, choose Mac Help in the Help menu. If your computer is running MacOS 10.4 then the fifth topic down is "Switching from Windows". I highly recommend reading it, it'll save you scads of time if you are already an experienced Windows user. The subtopic on Keyboard Shortcuts is particularly useful. The sure sign of a power-user is someone who doesn't have to constantly take one hand off the keyboard to reach for the mouse, because they know keyboard shortcut for most operations. |

it's not heresy. what's wrong with making our own life easier, right?
I think sticking to one brand just for the sake of that is a bit silly. |
