So last night I spend like 2 hours editing a self-portrait entry. I can't predict ribbons or top 10's, but this was a strong photo.
So around 10:00 I go to submit...no connectivity to the internet. So I restart. Still nothing. I call Comcast and the message says something about a connectivity issues in my area...so I hang up. I try again at like 11:30 ... nothing ... 11:50 ... nothing.
So I figure whatever, it just wasn't meant to be. So I get up this morning, and it's still messed up. So I call Comcast and the message is gone about the trouble. The guy just has me unplug and replug in my modem, and everything works like a charm now...I should have tried that last night :(
Oh well...just thought I'd share that with you all.

It's ok...I actually did spend the whole night just deleting old files, cleaning up, system maintenance, and defragmenting lol.
We'll get 'em next time. :D

Aww man - that's a real bummer! If they were still having problems last night though, resetting the modem probably wouldnt have worked. Once they fix a problem it doesnt always resolve it for each individual like it should so that's why you most likely had to do the reset.
Still, stinks that you did all that work on an entry only to not be able to get it entered. I would love to see what you shot. Maybe you could just put it in your portfolio and get comments at least

That really sucks, you do great work! But on the good side it leaves room for some of us lame photographers to get an image in there. :) j/k
After I got home and edited mine last night I decided I should have done it a different way but it was too late to do so I just hope it comes across correctly.

| Major bummer! We have the same problem with Comcast. I have to reset my modem every other day. |

wait... deapee didn't submit this picture, though... so tachnically it isn't an outtake, because there was no picture submitted? it also isn't a challenge entry, because deapee didn't make the deadline. i don't see the problem.

It's not an outtake if he starts a thread saying it's his latest greatest masterpiece that has absolutely no relevance to the Self-portrait challenge ;-)

That might not have worked last night anyway -- the procedure was probably needed to re-connect after they fixed the problem.
