Not on DPCprints, but directly to a collector. This is one of the photographs from my 'Nudes' portfolio.
A cool $1,200! (I am just too happy to hold it to myself). Granted it was archival paper and ink, and it was framed, together with the mate and frame 26"x18".
Just wanted to brag a little, thanks for listening guys.

Great to hear that. A couple questions. Which photo is it? One that's on dpc? Also I take it this was a print from your d1x? What did you print on (take it somewhere or print yourself)? I didn't think you could print that big of an image with the d1x, that's good to hear though. I almost was set on a d100. But looking at the d1x too, hehe I'm stumped all over again. Good job. |

Than you guys, your kind words mean a lot.
As far as printing, I printed on Epson 2200, matte archival ink, and ILFORD FINE ART paper. The original image was the 10Mp around 1960x4028 (something like that), however I did enlarge it with Nik Multimedia's PrintPro to be 12.5"x18.5" at 600dpi, the file came out be around 150M.

Congrats, Dimitrii! You definitely deserve it -- your work is wonderful. Got any more prints you'll be uploading to the site? :)

It must have been an amazing print for that price - $1200 US, is like millions in our Canadian peso. Congratulations.
I viewed the few nudes that you posted for sale on the new DPC site and felt that they were very tastefully done. Keep up the good work. It sure helps to pay for the digital toys with that kind of sale. |

I will be, I am working on another project (the current Nudes will be shown on the 29th of March in downtown Brooklyn, NY, @ the place called PANINOTECA, it's at 275 Smith St. (F train stop 'Carrol St.').
Again, guys thanks for all your kind words.

Congratulations!
*lol* I "sold" a print today too. I actually took it to Walmart and printed it on the aladdin myself in an hour for $3. My friend is having it framed and using it as a wedding present for a friend in Japan. She even had me sign it, and I felt really silly. I can't imagine ever having someone pay real money for one of my photos. I'd feel like such a fraud. |
