Hey all, I just wanted to congratulate Heidi a.k.a hideout for joining the rest of us as a new DSLR owner! She's been on and off the fence as of late wondering if she'd do well with an SLR and just yesterday took the plunge and purchased herself a Nikon D50!
I'm very excited for her and can't wait to see what she can accomplish with her new gear.
Congrats Heidi, you so totally deserve it!

Yeah Heidi! Welcome to Nikon City - ribbons are to the left, Canon Petting Zoo is to the right (please don't feed the canoneers) :)

Dang Heidi, I thought we Canonites, at the Moab GTG, made a better impression on you than that... :-(
Congrats on the new hardware. You're gonna love it!!! :-)

She has been running around the DSLR pool for awhile now, dipping her toe in every once in awhile. It's good to she she has finally jumped in. I think it had a lot to do with all the positive words from David during the Moab GTG.

Heidi, Congratulations!!! You made a great choice and will love having the versatility and control of your DSLR. There is a steep learning curve, so don't let the shock get to you.
Send me a PM and we'll get together to go shooting!

Thanks everybody, now Steve has really put me on the spot to produce something wonderful ... with all your help I just might pull it off. Can I put everyone's cell phone in my speed dial list ... "so what's a sensor and how do I .... ahhh".
The big purchase has shipped but unfortunately I won't technically own my lens cap in time to enter the "Lenscap" challenge, just have to suffer watching my Holy score tonight. |

Heidi, I BEGGED you NOT to take this step. Now you'll raise the bar so high the Icelanders will all want to come to Utah to see how you do it. Sheesh!
On the other hand, it's not tooo late to return it, is it? The shots with your Kodak were SO nice, and it was so portable... Now you'll need gadget bags and backpacks and lens bearers and... it's just a world of hassle. Trust me, you'll regret getting that SLR!
(Most of all, have you no pity for those of us you'll leave behind in the pixel dust of your talent and vision???)
Congrats, Heidi. Now the whole DPC will see a new atandard in photographic excellence. You rock! |
