I'm trying to find out the correct name for those sillver trays with silver domed lids that waiters use. Whats it called????
Its really bugging me now. |

| For a large one I see they refer to the tray as a charger on this site. "Dome and charger", is that maybe what you are looking for? |

hmm chaffing dishes to me are the things they put over a small burner to keep food warm (Bain Marie" I think, I will do some research.
The Dome and Charger are what Im after but its not the name im looking for |

A bain-marie is specifically a heated water-bath into which another container/pot is put. A chafing dish holds food over a flame at the serving/buffet table. |
