Really, this is spiraling way out of control, which is funny to watch in a way. A question was asked earlier, and still has not been answered, and I, for one, want to know. Where are the other sites that have voting. I have a photosig account, and though it insures you 3 critiques per picture, most people will not give a negative rating simply because someone else will come along and say it is not useful, knocking your "score" down. Hmmmmm, so what does the average person do. Play it safe. A lot like here. yea, the winners usually get several 1's and 2's, and that used to bother me. By the same token, most last place finishers have at least one or two 9's and 10's. It seems to me that it will all come out in the wash. No, it is not perfect here, and back in may or so, when i was still brand new, it really upset me. to the point that i would swear I would never enter again. But come Sunday, I would make myself enter. The result? My photography has become more "emotional" if nothing else.
To be honest, my score does matter to me, in the big picture, because i use it to compare my pic to the ones I really like in the challenge, and that gives me a reference. I also like the comments. I have received some really "not nice" ones, but one monday, i simply look at who they are from and see if they have any value to me or not.
So, why did i reply? I don't remember, i have rambled on so long now, it has left me. so with that, I am going to go see if anyone is in the chat room!

Visit this site and it will expand.If you see my work and vote on it I'll accept your judgment with more smiles and a better attitude than I have exibited here.But you are sure to see more work of greater veriaty and higher quality than the Challange allows for.The restrictions of this web site are a highly stimulating tool. But those same restrictions can be daunting and supressive force on some of lesser courage. I am not a master of photo art by any means.I am a student. Thus the arguement. Challange is the most powerful too of learning I know.The free and open exchange of ideas is the essence of education. That is why I am here and plan to stay. |
