I'm going to predict a 6.4

I hope I am underestimating that, but then again the photos I really like tend to tank :)

4.5 LOL, since I got my new camera it seems all my pics are OOF. For the life of me I can't figure out what the problem is. Anyone out there with a S9000 that can point me in the right direction?

Sorry, wish I could help. Mine was a lesser version of fuji at a 3800. I didn't seem to have OOF problems with it, so I can't imagine why you are having that issue. Don't know anything about the S9000 and can't even remember much about my 3800 since I got my Nikon. I hope someone can help you though!!

Hmmm, I am sure DrArchoo and idnic will be coming in shortly with their predictions of 7.5 - 9.0

LOL...

Then again, maybe I shouldn't laugh at that! ;)

kdsprog, Do you shoot with auto focus? Or manual focus?

I don't use that kind of camera, but If you shoot with manual focus, there's a little button on most cameras by the viewfinder that may need to be adjusted. It adjusts the focus according to your eyes. You adjust it by turning that button as you look at your light meter settings instead of looking out at the photo. When the light meter settings are the sharpest they can be, then your picture is sharp.

I learned that from an article in Outdoor Photographer, and sure enough mine was off, and fixing it helped.

I've been using the "anti-blur" setting. It looks perfect throught the viewfinder and the preview screen. But when I download it seems OOF or maybe just really grainy. I thought maybe it was compression issues since I was used to 3mp and now I'm at 9. But, I think I may have figured this out. It seems all my pictures are coming out at ISO 800 with that setting. Maybe I shouldn't use that setting any more, LOL. The ones I used the landscape setting for are at anywhere from ISO 80 to 200 and they are very sharp.

WOW, 5 more entries in just the last 2 hours! I am predicting about 140 to 150 entries in the end I guess. Then again, with it being Mother's Day, I guess that number could even be higher by tonight after all the shots that are entered of mom's today :)

WHAT? After all that smack talk last night you are only predicting a 6.5 ??? Heck, I am raising mine then to a 6.6!

Hmmm, seems we are all about equal then. We are all predicting the mid 6 range for the most part. This will be very interesting!

Ha! Not to bust your chops, but wouldn't a 6.5 beat you 98.3% of the time? ;)

You ARE busting my chops!!! :) For THAT I am raising mine now to a 6.7! My highest so far is a 6.5. I am predicting this one will beat that half fast entered abstract! :) We shall see I guess! If nothing else, I am predicting top 20 at least.

I have a decent shot. Took my time with the shot, model, and post processing.

May rival my 7.2 texture...then again it may slump to my 4.something "Ironman"...I just don't know the voters!

2.5

I went out of the box, but for me personally, my entry is the very personification of this challenge. Too bad the masses can't agree on anything.

Mine's in but I'm not predicting anything world moving. I only took something for this challenge in case I move on in the LoD competition.
