		| | im stuck i use imac g5 to edit my images
when i open Photoshop (7) every now and than it automatically starts to update Adobe online and than gets stuck or cant close down the update info
i used to avoid the problem by restart the comp once or twice
but now its very stubborn and i see no possibility to close the updatetransfer wich got stuck for some reason and get into Photoshop
 the transferindicatorbox shows this info:
 file:AWEDBFiles4.awe
path:HD Imac G5:Library Appl ..tion Support: Adobe Web:

anyone out there who have a clue whats happening and why and how i solve the problem ??

		| | Have you considered,
deleting photoshop, and reinstalling then go into options in photoshop and make sure it doesn't try to update when you open it ?

 OR

try to let it go... maybe there's a box thats trying to open, and will after a few minutes? or adobe is beign slow?

 OR

**turn on tease factor** buy a pc?? **turn off tease factor**

(Actually the G5 is an excellent computer :) )

		| | sounds like a PS preference problem. Find out where to turn off auto update and problem should be fixed. Not an Apple problem. if you ask me.
The reinstall may be a good bet also

		| | try removing your plug-ins, they can cause ps to hang on startup, even more so if you have large or lots of plug-ins installed.
