Still trying to figure this out... so far Canon help is clueless too.
Mystery
Anyone know if Canon will exchange a camera with lots of problems for a different one?
Anyone know if B&H will do this after the 2 week, 200 shot limit (3 wks, 1600 shots)?
So frustrated... |

The light coloured arc, or the dark colour splotches?
The splotches will be sensor dust, the light arc looks like lens flare or something similar.
The light arc pattern isn't likely to be in the camera, but you can tell by taking a shot in Av mode with just a white bit of paper in front of the camera (as in no lens, paper held up to the mount) in Av mode... That will isolate 'issues' with the image to the sensor and electronics. If the pattern appears with just the paper in front it'll be covered by the normal Canon warranty as there would obviously be something wrong.
