I was watching a dvd "Girl Next Door", and I saw a camcorder that had a white lens. I went to B&H and was looked at Canons higher end video equipment and the lenses look just like "L" glass, are they?
Or do they just make them white, they sure look like "L" glass!

It is not really called "L" Glass. You are referring to the Canon XL1... there has since been a replacement, the canon XL2 and now even an HD version. The glass is excellent. The white ones have image stabilzation and are great lenses.
