My very first successful shot of the moon. I haven't tried this since I changed to digital though. I tried so desperately to get this right on 35mm...never did. :-(

The moon was shining so brightly on my back steps, I thought the neighbors had gotten a new porch light.

nicely done, I've been watching it around here and noticed it should be full very soon but we have an entire weekend of clouds and rain in store...maybe next month :(

got this a few nights before, it very hard to get a contrasty image of the moon near full but you did very well :)

Nice. nice detail.

I did this one a month ago. spot meter on the 30D makes getting the exposure just about idiot proof. I want to try another as i'm learning the ins and outs of the camera abit more now

this will give you an idea of exposure needed, my scope is an f10 so i have to add a bit:)

Funny, a shot I put almost the same title on a shot I took a few months ago. I thought you were starting a thread about my picture! Well, maybe not. FWIW, here it is. It gets a lot of views, so I guess people like it well enough...
