...but these mean quite a bit to me and I want to get them right. My beautiful wife of ten years with only 5 weeks to go. Anything I should do differently? Thanks much.

Your images are not bad at all. But knowing how important this time is to you and your wife I recommend you study professional photographer's maternity imagery to pull good ideas for taking your own memorable pictures...

Hey Phil,
I did a quick re-edit of the first one, which is my fave of the three. I just did a couple of subtle things to simplify and soften the image a bit (that's what i was trying for anyway).
First I cloned out the top border on the wood panelling, just because it messed with the perspective a bit and seemed to enclose the image somewhat. getting rid of it seemed to open it up free the top of the image for me. then i did a dupe layer on top, and set the blending mode to "soft light" with a 66% opacity, which adds a bit of contrast and warmth, without making it too harsh.
It's a great image as it was - I'm just throwing out a few ideas, which are things I'd likely have done to it if I'd taken it.
Congratulations, friend. Remember to sing to the punkin before you go to sleep. My little dude still goes to sleep when I sing him songs he heard inthe womb :)

The middle one is my favourite - I'd say you could probably bring out the faded background image slightly more.
The third one is great too - I love the composition/crop.
I'll be honest about the first one; the pose looks uncomfortable, especially with her lying on the wooden floor. To me it looks like she's just fallen over! |

Oh man. Thanks Pedro. I wanted the top rail out of it but didn't have the skills (patience) to do it. I really like how you warmed it up too and I really appreciate you explaining how you did it. You've helped me so much friend.
I've been strumming and singing to him every night. My wife and I actually met because of music so we're definitely hoping he shares the passion that we do. I just pray that he wants to start out with the piano or guitar and not drums :D Thanks again buddy.
jhonan - Thanks for your comments and ideas. I truly appreciate them.
