Thanks to Leroy for doing the Photojournalism challenge. I'll leave those up to his expertise. I believe I voted the whole Free Study too so I'll even tell you what I gave you. (just don't be upset.;)
As usual, I don't look at comments before I leave mine. I'll take the next 10 posted. |

Ok, Doc. Let's see if you can help cure my chronic LowFive Disease. It'll be a long road to recovery, but the first step is for me to acknowledge the problem.
Consider this post my acknowledgement. :)
Thanks!
:)

Thanks Jason for your comment.
There is one thing I notice in the image, which to me, balances the ant with the rest of the image. It is the green lines coming from under the part of the flower where the ant is and the petal the ant is on. They remind me of insect legs and insect body due to shape and positioning. It's like the ant is riding on it's back.

Thanks for the comment and insight on my picture. I barely see the blue color cast you mention, but when compared to the original, it is there, especially the background. I didn't rotate the picture at all and the original is fine, but after cropping I just happened to get it where it went down a bit.
I think I'll have to add recalibration to my "to do" list.

You know, I went back and looked and maybe it isn't a blue cast. If it is, I agree, it isn't strong. I goofed with it in CS2 and what looked better to my eyes was some extra saturation and a boost to reds followed by some increased contrast. It mainly made the flower redder and stand out more, but the rest of the picture was relatively unchanged. Maybe my eye was just looking for saturation and contrast. |

There is a slight tinge of blue Doc. But very slight though. Then again, my eyes are trained for color casts due to my work ;) |

I guess the subject was not appealing. Sub-5 on a free study entry, my guess is too p-j! Heck, sub 5 on my last three, though the negative image one was entered just because it was funny, but nobody got the humor. |
